The State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (University of Macau) is expected to promote the development of smart cities in the perspective of IoT, Big Data Technology and Engineering in Macau and inject new impetus into the development of the Greater Area of ​​the Bahía by improving research and training in the matter and the provision of technical support plans to improve economic performance, people’s quality of life and social management. SKL-IOTSC invites applications for the post of Research Assistant Professor in the following disciplines:

  • Intelligent Detection and Network Communication;
  • Urban Big Data and Smart Technology;
  • smart energy;
  • Intelligent Transportation;
  • Urban Public Safety and Disaster Prevention.

The first appointment will be for a maximum of 2 years. The appointment is renewable by mutual consent and subject to satisfactory performance, the duration of a renewed contract will be in accordance with the relevant stipulations.


  1. Doctorate in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or related disciplines;
  2. A distinguished record of research and recognized scholarship;

An annual taxable remuneration starting at MOP546,000 (approximately USD67,400) will be proportional to the academic qualification and relevant professional experience of the selected candidates.
