Radio 2’s Sara Cox shows off her six-pack transformation after being inspired by Rylan

Sara Cox presented an impressive six-pack to her fans on Monday, after 10 weeks without drinking and engaging in an intense workout routine. The Radio 2 DJ admitted that she is “delighted” to have completed the challenge at the age of 47 and thanked her BBC colleague Rylan Clark Neal for inspiring her.

sarah coxThe 47-year-old has flaunted her impressive six-pack on social media, after being inspired by Rylan to complete an intense fitness challenge.

The mother of three told her social media followers that she felt “fit and strong” on Monday, as she shared a snapshot of her enviable figure after completing The Six Pack Revolution’s March wave.

As well as admitting that she was quite “thrilled” to complete the tough challenge of being fit in her forties, Sara confessed that her Radio 2 colleague Rylan’s results earlier in the year motivated her to do the same.

Captioning a series of photos and clips showing off her six-pack on Instagram, Sara told her followers: “YASSSSSS @thesixpackrevolution done and after 10 weeks I feel so ruddy. Loved not drinking though 2 big family parties AND an all inclusive vacation on the wagon was a challenge but definitely worth it

“I’ve been fit for a while but I really needed a push and this has been brilliant. Quite glad I did it at 47.”

The radio star promised to continue training after a break for a friend’s party.

She added: I massively recommend it if you want to give it a try. Thank you @iamscottharrison for all the support and @rylan for encouraging me to try.

Sara concluded that she was ready to “get off the bandwagon” at a friend’s STEN party, but promised to resume her exercise routine soon.

The former ladette’s celebrity friends were quick to praise her incredible transformation, with ex Strictly come to dance Oti Mabuse commenting: “Omgggggg @djsaracox you look amazing.”

Fearne Cotton left a series of love heart emojis below the inspiring Instagram update, while former Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac congratulated her friend with a simple: “FIT!”

On Twitter, Sara revealed a bit more about her motivations for working out by sharing a post from The Six Pack Revolution.

Citing the update showing her results on Twitter, the star wrote: “Loved it. Feel fit and strong. Saw @Rylan’s results and thought ‘oooh I’ll have some of that please.'”

Rylan completed the same program as Sara earlier in the year.

Rylan – who unveiled its six pack in January – shared Sara’s snaps with her own fanbase, telling her fellow radio star, “So proud of you. Stunner xxxx.”

Speaking earlier in the year, Rylan explained how his own personal health had benefited him mentally, as well as physically.

“Getting fit and taking care of my body has saved me. Fitness has given me a goal,” the former X Factor admitted the star while showing the result of working with Scott Harrison of The Six Pack Revolution.

“It’s done more for my mental health than my body, which is crazy to say because you can physically see how the body changes.”
