The news was confirmed in typically cheeky fashion when the Netflix Geeked Twitter Account shared a trailer for the new season and added the caption: “We interrupt this broadcast to bring you a very special message… LOVE DEATH AND ROBOTS: VOLUME 3… May 20.”
The trailer begins with clips from other Netflix series. The crown Y The Queen’s Gambit as on-screen text it states: “From the streamer who brought you The crown [and] The Queen’s Gambit the return is coming [of] 11-time Emmy Award-Winning Problem Child.”
The video then shows a clip of some argumentative robots, before playing a series of highlights from the show’s upcoming episodes and revealing that the new batch of episodes will be “extremely soon.”
Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t reveal much about the kind of content we can expect from volume three, as no new episodes or cast details have been revealed.
It looks like we’ll have to exercise a bit more patience when it comes to figuring out exactly what kind of love, death, and robotics adventures to expect in the new season.
The series first launched in 2019 with 18 episodes, before an eight-episode shortened second season was released in 2021.
The anthology series, which features fight club Y girl is gone‘s David Fincher among its producers, consists of different animated stories that focus on love, death or robots, or sometimes on a combination of the themes.
