A source close to the couple revealed that Simon’s ex, Sinitta, was eager to participate in the big day, but Lauren was quick to tell her no.
Simon, 62, proposed to Lauren on Christmas Eve in Barbados with their eight-year-old son Eric in attendance, and it has previously been claimed that the couple wish to have the youngster “front and centre” at the ceremony. .
Despite his previous firm vows to never walk down the aisle, a source previously claimed that the last two years, in which the global pandemic hit and the star broke his back, caused Simon to change his stance.

A source told People: ‘They have fun together as well as being each other’s rock.
“They are both passionate but really bring out the best in each other. As a family, everyone has such an incredible bond.
“A lot has happened in the last few years and just like for everyone else in the world, all of these things have been a reminder of what is precious to them.
Simon previously admitted that he doesn’t see himself dating anymore when he opened up about changing his mind about marriage after falling in love with Lauren.
He said he decided to propose to his longtime girlfriend in January after feeling they were already engaged while living together during lockdown.
