Dressed in a stunning blue silk dress trimmed with white fur, Laura’s character, Myrna, steps out of the car but appears unimpressed by picturesque Downton, pursing her lips in dismay.
Exciting: The character of actress Myrna Dalgleish, a beloved movie star, arouses the excitement of the staff under the stairs in the famous mansion, which has been transformed into a film set.

Downton Abbey: A New Era will see a host of new faces join the star-studded cast, including Dominic West and Hugh Dancy.
The film, written by Julian Fellowes, takes the familiar faces to the south of France to unravel the mystery of the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa as they attempt to escape a Downton film crew.
Violet’s announcement, which comes after she revealed in the previous film that she doesn’t have long to live, will set the stage for the family to visit France in hopes of learning more about her boyfriend’s identity.

The upcoming sequel will see the return of the beloved cast including Hugh Bonneville, Penelope Wilton, and Michelle Dockery.
The trailer also shows the property being turned into a movie set and Dominic West, a 1920s Hollywood actor with a thin mustache, becomes quite the heartthrob among the staff.

Widower Tom Branson will finally discover happiness again after the death of his wife Sybil years before, when he marries the maid Lucy Smith (Tuppence Middleton), whom he met in the first film.
As always, all of Downton’s beloved staff are expected to appear in the film, including Anna, Thomas, Elsie Hughes (Phyllis Logan), young Daisy, and John Bates (Brendan Coyle).
The screenplay is written by Oscar-winning Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, and BAFTA and Emmy nominated Simon Curtis is directing.
