Bayern Munich have reportedly mapped out their summer search for Sadio Mane, with a growing belief in Bavaria that he will ‘say goodbye’ to Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool after the Champions League final.

Until now, Mane has refused to speak about his future in the build-up to Saturday’s big showdown against Real Madrid in Paris.

The 30-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at Liverpool and a new report from german newspaper bild has detailed how Bayern think they can nab Mane this summer.

An extension to stay at Anfield has so far failed to materialize for Mane and so image report that Bayern are on the prowl, as long as they don’t pay more than £25m to get it.

No significant talks are believed to have taken place given that Liverpool’s season is yet to come to an end, but the belief in Germany is that official talks will start after Saturday’s Champions League final.

Sportsmail revealing the Bayern link, which surfaced earlier in the month, took Anfield officials completely by surprise.

Bayern have historically found themselves in the midst of big transfer stories in April or May that have come to fruition, such as when they signed Mats Hummels, Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski from German rivals Borussia Dortmund.

Mane has said he will only reveal his future plans after Liverpool’s Champions League final.

Speaking this week when asked about his future on Merseyside, Mane remained coy.

He said: ‘For sure it will be special to win it and make it seven (European Cup wins for the club). And I will answer this question (my future) after the Champions League. To stay or not, I will answer after the Champions League.”

The agency dealing with Mane, Bild claims, held a meeting about a possible deal in Mallorca, but the player himself is understood to have held no talks as Liverpool have spent the last few months fighting for an unprecedented quadruple.

The future of Liverpool’s famous forward three of Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah has been a matter of debate for some time.

Salah took a different approach to Mane, seeking to tackle his future head-on to ease fan concern.

“In my mind, I don’t focus on the contract,” Salah said this week.

‘I do not want to be selfish. I said it two months ago: now it’s about the team. I’m just focused with the team. I want to win the Champions League again. I want to see Hendo again with the trophy and hopefully he gives it to me later (he holds it up).

“But I will stay (here) next season, for sure, I will stay next season.”

After scoring the winner against Aston Villa earlier in the month, Mane told reporters he is “honestly very happy” at the Merseyside club.

He said: ‘Yes, I’m happy here, I think when we win trophies I’m happier! But I think I’m trying to enjoy every moment, trying to help my teammates and I think the guys make it a lot easier for me.

‘Honestly, I’m very happy. I just try to enjoy every moment and help my teammates. Without my companions I am nothing.’
